Pop-Up Card

Creative workshops attract children with the opportunity to explore their creativity in a fun and engaging way. Making colorful pop-up cards not only provides entertainment but also psychomotor benefits, stimulating hand-eye coordination and precision in movements.
Below we present the workshop program divided into different phases.

Development

This workshop is divided into three distinct phases.

1) Preparation of Materials

In this first part, we will distribute colored paper sheets, colored pencils, markers, scissors, and glue, presenting decorative materials such as glitter, stickers, and colored ribbons, organizing the workspace for comfortable and safe creation.

2) Pop-Up Drawing

Once the work environment is prepared, after a theoretical explanation of the concept of pop-ups and the different models that can be created, children will be invited to choose from the available models and color the figures on the paper sheet, paying particular attention to the size and shape of the parts that will be raised.

3) Cutting and Assembly

This is the most delicate phase of the activity. The concentration of the children must correspond to the same attention from the educator; a wrong cut can jeopardize all the work done up to this point.
After completing the coloring of the drawing, we will then proceed to carefully cut out the parts that will be raised to create the pop-up effect. Even in the immediately following steps of folding and gluing that serve to create the three-dimensional structure, a lot of caution and vision of the desired result are necessary.

4) Decoration

Once the pop-up structure has been created, we can finally embellish it with decorative materials such as glitter, stickers, and colored ribbons.
In this phase, children are invited to give free rein to their imagination in adding decorations to personalize the pop-up and make it more captivating.

5) Finishing and Presentation

Finally, after completing and checking the pop-up to ensure that all parts are well glued, we can proceed to exhibit our creation, showcasing the variety of designs and artistic skills of the participants.

This workshop stimulates fine motor skills, artistic creativity, and offers an engaging and fun learning experience for children.
